Killington is f king cold

Out here freezing my ass off in Killington VT. I guess it’s not much colder than CO has been in the past few weeks. But I just have a long standing grudge against the state of Vermont in general. It is the only place where I have actually witnessed ice blasted trees commit suicide. After riding pipe here for the past few days I’m a firm believer that iceskating halfpipe could turn out to be a credible sport in VT. The pipes got a good shape but its harder to hold an edge than it is for Slyvester Stallone to hold a conversation. Either way, I was able to put down a run in Semis and I’m stoked to send it even harder in finals tomorrow. Unfortunately, my good friend Broc slammed hard in his first run and ended up in the hospital with a concussion. Injuries always suck and I hope he has a lightning fast recovery. But the important thing now is that he’s comfortable, so I hope the docs are providing him with all the happy skittles his heart can desire and his liver can handle.

And of course, a Dew Tour wouldn’t be the same without Nike stoking us out with the most badass house in Killington. Thanks Uncle Phil!

not bad….

Modest livingroom

Andrew Mutty getting his relax on. This is my favorite room of the house. I’ve gotten into a little routine of hot tub-sauna-stretch, while listening to the Pandora yoga channel. Doesn’t get better than some japanese zen tunes to get the chi flowing right.

Louie got his barber degree and started to hook me up with a fresh cut…

and Scotty came back from the Dew party to help out…

as did Driscoll, it was his first time cutting hair. Im now rocking a Ranaldo/Mohawk/Mullet/Euro do. It looks sick, I think Dave has a new career ahead of him.

My homie Blake Kueny took these photos at AMA Supercross this weekend. It was a pretty crazy event. Fire works, motor racin, babes with less than real tits, and lots of tattoos. I gotta give it to the riders though, thats shits gnarly!

AMA Supercross

Just made a quick trick out to Anaheim to check out the AMA Supercross event. I’ve seen plenty of James “Bubba” Stewart on TV and all over Nike but have never had the chance to watch him in person. If you didn’t know this already, he’s the shit! And I cannot wait to see him slay this race.

Transworld Park Sessions: Sierra at Tahoe

This was one of the most fun trips I went on last year. Lucked out with insanely nice weather and sun for 5 straight days riding with Luke Mitrani, Jack Mitrani, Danny Davis, Forest Bailey, and Halldor Helgason. Those dudes are blast to rip apart a mountain with.

Happy New Year/End of the World

As we all know it is 2012 and we are coming dangerously close to the end of our existence. I know judgement day was supposed to happen sometime in May and then again in October or some shit but that was just one cray religious dude hoping to solve his problems with the end of the world. On the other hand, December 21st is the real deal. We got prophecies and predictions across the board from geniuses like the Mayans, Nostradamus, Albert Einstein, even NASA. Personally, Im hoping its Aliens. That show on Discovery has me convinced on the logic behind it. Plus it would be way cooler to get launched into space by a ten foot tall space monster than watch the world blow up from the inside out or freeze over or whatever. Maybe they’ll recognize the kick ass people from the shitty ones and welcome us onto their intergalactic team. Of course we’ve heard this prediction along with hundreds of others so I don’t know what to believe anymore. If the world doesn’t end in 2012 I’ll take life seriously but until then, FUCK EVERYTHING AND BECOME A PIRATE.

Training

Training and working out has become a necessity in snowboarding these days with the constant unwavering progression. Being a professional athlete is no longer possible off of talent alone. The rider must push their physical strengths to new limits in order to stay ahead of the riding curve. To see how I stay ahead of the curve check out this rigorous workout I go through everyday religiously.
